Who God is...

 

God is our Creator, who once knew Adam and Eve face to face.  They failed to take God at His word and this was called "sin."  They lost paradise and we are their children.

 

What now?

 

Since the first children were born, all humankind has been torn between expressing their self-will and seeking to find the God who is hidden because of sin.  He couldn't be found in this world, or through the five senses.  He had to reveal Himself.

 

What did God Do?

 

God took the initiative.  He sent Jesus Christ, the Son of God, to free those who all their lives have been locked in spiritual darkness.  He is the exact image of the invisible God, clothed in human flesh. He shed his life's blood to death, and then by his resurrection from the dead he secured for us forgiveness, reconciliation, and a place in the eternal family of God.

 

What can we do now?

 

We can go back to where Adam and Eve failed.  We can take God at His word.  We can believe in Him who is greater than the things He has made, and receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of all.  We can exercise the faith which transcends the five-senses world we live in.  Through a life lived by faith we experience that faith is not "out of this world", but actually energizes this world.
